Part 1 · Core Pilgrimage

Delhi · Vrindavan · Agra · Gokul · Varanasi

Day 1 · Saturday, Jan 9

Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and settle into the Hotel Lalit as we begin crossing the threshold into India’s sacred landscape. This first day is for rest, grounding, orientation, and gently opening to the deeper rhythm of the pilgrimage.

Day 2 · Sunday, Jan 10

Delhi: Entering Sacred India

We begin in Delhi, where ancient temples, markets, monuments, and modern life meet in a powerful initiation into India's spiritual and cultural intensity. We will explore Old Delhi, the spice markets, sacred neighborhoods, and the living devotional atmosphere of the city.

Day 3 · Monday, Jan 11

Delhi: Temples, Markets & Sacred Encounters

Today may include the Tibetan markets, the giant Hanuman temple-sculpture, the Bahá'í Lotus Temple, Red Fort, shopping, and time to wander into the unexpected. We will begin meeting India not only through places, but through sound, color, ritual, devotion, and direct experience.

Day 4 · Tuesday, Jan 12

Delhi: Ashram, Reflection & Preparation

We visit Gobind Sadan Ashram and other sacred or contemplative sites as we prepare inwardly for the devotional heart of the journey. The day also allows time for rest, shopping, conversation, and settling more deeply into the pilgrimage container.

Day 5 · Wednesday, Jan 13

Travel to Vrindavan: Entering the Land of Krishna

We travel to Vrindavan, the sacred land of Krishna and the path of bhakti — devotion, love, music, longing, and joy. Check-in to a comfortable carefully selected upper-midrange hotel — final property to be determined. After arrival, we begin to feel the atmosphere of temple bells, chanting, flowers, monkeys, pilgrims, and the living mythology of Braj.

Day 6 · Thursday, Jan 14

Vrindavan & Agra: Love Made Visible

We visit Agra and the Taj Mahal as a meditation on beauty, longing, devotion, and love made visible in stone. Returning to Vrindavan, we continue to let outer beauty become part of the inner pilgrimage.

Day 7 · Friday, Jan 15

Gokul: Ancient Krishna Sites & Sacred Waters

We visit Gokul, ancient kunds, temples, and places associated with Krishna's early life and the sacred geography of Braj. This is a day to experience mythology not as story alone, but as place, water, earth, memory, and devotion.

Day 8 · Saturday, Jan 16

Vrindavan: Temples, Yamuna & Bhakti Immersion

We enter deeper into Vrindavan through the Hare Krishna temple, ancient esoteric temples, Shiva shrines, Old Vrindavan, and the sacred life around the Yamuna. We may feed monkeys by the river, take a Yamuna boat ride, chant, wander, shop, and encounter the devotional current of Krishna's world.

Day 9 · Sunday, Jan 17

Govardhan Hill & Journey to Varanasi

We visit Govardhan Hill, one of the most sacred places in the Braj region, before returning to Delhi for the flight to Varanasi. This day marks a transition from the sweetness of Krishna bhakti toward the mystery, fire, and transformation of Shiva's city. On arrival, check-in to a comfortable carefully selected upper-midrange hotel — final property to be determined.

Day 10 · Monday, Jan 18

Varanasi: Arrival in the City of Shiva

We awaken in Varanasi, one of the great spiritual centers of India, where the Ganges, cremation ghats, temples, pilgrims, and sadhus create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else. We begin exploring the ghats and the sacred river as a doorway into life, death, devotion, and eternity.

Day 11 · Tuesday, Jan 19

Varanasi: Ghats, Temples & the Ganges

We move through the ghats of the Ganges, including the funerary ghats, ancient temples, and the narrow lanes of old Kashi. The day may include sunrise or sunset experiences on the river, temple visits, chanting, ritual, and time to feel the profound spiritual intensity of the city.

Day 12 · Wednesday, Jan 20

Varanasi: Tantric Sites, Sadhus & Hidden Kashi

We explore deeper layers of Varanasi, including tantric temples, ancient practice sites, and, where possible, meetings with sadhus, tantrikas, astrologers, aghoris, or local spiritual adepts. This is a day for encountering the esoteric heart of India with humility, curiosity, and respect.

Day 13 · Thursday, Jan 21

Varanasi: Integration, Shopping & Final Darshan

Our final full day in Varanasi allows time for additional temple visits, shopping, reflection, wandering, and final darshan by the Ganges. We gather the inner threads of the pilgrimage — devotion, beauty, death, transformation, and the sacred presence that has accompanied the journey.

Day 14 · Friday, Jan 22

Departure from Varanasi / Part 1 Ends

Part 1 concludes with flights from Varanasi to Delhi for those returning to the USA. Those continuing on the extended pilgrimage fly onward to Mumbai for the integration portion of the journey.

Part 2 · Extended Journey

Mumbai · Goa

Integration, rest, ocean, and Ayurvedic healing · Jan 22–31 · Available only in combination with Part 1

Day 14 · Friday, Jan 22

Varanasi to Mumbai

Those continuing the full journey fly from Varanasi to Mumbai, carrying the intensity of Kashi into a new landscape of sacred urban India. On arrival, check-in to a comfortable carefully selected upper-midrange hotel — final property to be determined. This evening is for arrival, rest, and soft re-entry after the powerful spiritual climax of Varanasi.

Day 15 · Saturday, Jan 23

Mumbai: Sacred Waters & Ancient Sites

We explore Mumbai's sacred geography, including Banganga Tank and other ancient or spiritually significant sites hidden within the modern city. This day reveals another face of India — cosmopolitan, oceanic, layered, and still deeply rooted in sacred memory.

Day 16 · Sunday, Jan 24

Mumbai: Temples, Markets & Cultural Immersion

We continue exploring Mumbai through temples, sacred neighborhoods, markets, and cultural sites, with time for shopping and wandering. The pace becomes more spacious, allowing the pilgrimage to begin integrating through beauty, movement, conversation, and discovery.

Day 17 · Monday, Jan 25

Mumbai: Rest, Exploration & Integration

This day allows for a more flexible rhythm — sacred visits, optional adventures, shopping, reflection, or simply resting and absorbing the journey so far. We make room for the unexpected encounters that often become some of the most memorable moments in India.

Day 18 · Tuesday, Jan 26

Flight to Goa: Ocean, Rest & Renewal

We fly from Mumbai to Goa, shifting from the intensity of pilgrimage into a gentler field of ocean, rest, embodiment, and renewal. On arrival, check-in to a comfortable carefully selected upper-midrange hotel — final property to be determined. Goa offers time to breathe, walk, swim, receive, and let the journey settle into the body.

Day 19 · Wednesday, Jan 27

Goa: Beach, Ayurveda & Sacred Rest

A day for beach time, Ayurvedic treatments, rest, and spacious integration. After temples, ghats, markets, and sacred intensity, Goa gives us the medicine of softness, water, ease, and return.

Goa: Integration, Healing & Wandering

We continue with time for Ayurveda, beach, local exploration, reflection, and quiet conversation. This is a day to digest the pilgrimage inwardly and allow the sacred experiences of North India to become embodied wisdom.
